I am writing to tell you about the MISES Journal’s Call for Papers for the 2021 Special Issue. 150 years of the Austrian School: Big Contemporary Issues Guest-Editor: Dr. Antony Peter Mueller, PhD, Federal University of Sergipe (UFS) – Brazil / Instituto Mises Brasil (IMB) Deadline for manuscript submissions: August 15, 2021 Mises Journal (http://www.misesjournal.org.br e-ISSN 2594-9187) is an international forum for discussing the Austrian School of Economics ideas and related topics. We provide an interdisciplinary outlet for research interested in the Austro-libertarian views of Law, Economics, Philosophy and their applications in the other social sciences. 2021 is an especially important year for the Austrian school in general and in particular for us at the (IMB). It marks the 150th anniversary of the publication of Carl Menger ‘s Principles of Economics, which inaugurated Austrian School and provides its theoretical foundations to this day. In the 2021 special issue, we invite high-quality manuscripts on various aspects and applications of the Austrian School and its associated disciplines. We are looking for explanations on how the Austrian School – the intellectual heir of the classical school of economics represented by Cantillon, Smith, Ricardo and others -, manages to be able to discuss the contemporary problemsof society. Manuscripts will be accepted in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) Great Reset Fourth Industrial Revolution ESG: Environmental, social and corporate governance Policy responses and economic consequences of the interventionism that came with the Covid-19 pandemic Other discussions on modern societal problems that build upon Austrian perspectives are also welcome The special issue will be published as the 2021 Special Edition, and these are the important dates: Deadline for submission: August 15, 2021; Editor’s evaluation and first response to the authors: until August 23; Authors will receive comments from reviewers: until October 5; Author´s corrections to reviewers’ comments: until October 20; Publication: end of December.
